Mudman is managed by Graniteman Events, which is affiliated with North Crest Kids Activity Center, Inc. in Sauk Rapids, MN. Mudman is one of 5 events that consist of three triathlons, a half marathon, and the Mudman 5k race. Below is a list of the events, locations, and dates.
Graniteman St. Cloud Triathlon - Lake George - St. Cloud, MN - June 24th.
Granite Kids Triathlon – Held in conjunction with Graniteman St. Cloud – June 23rd.
Graniteman Clearwater Triathlon – Warner lake – Clearwater, MN – July 14th
Graniteman Big Lake Triathlon – Big Lake – Big Lake, MN – August 4th
MUDMAN – Powder Ridge Ski Resort - Kimball, MN – August 18th
Graniteman Half Marathon, 5k, 10k, & kids Run – Sauk Rapids, MN – Sept 7th & 8th
A key component to the success of this event is the generous help and support of our invaluable volunteers. There are various activities to volunteer for depending on the race, which include registration, Body Marking, tear down, handing out racers materials, and staff designated points along the course to cheer and guide participants in the race. Any interested volunteers, anyone at any age, will aid in making this year's events a great success! All will receive free refreshments and are eligible for all of the great door prizes that are given away after the races are finished!
Attention Students:
This is a great opportunity to fulfill your Service-Learning hours. The Graniteman & Mudman events can surely enrich your learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen our community. Graniteman Triathlon Coordinators will sign documents or e-mail instructors for credit.
Here is a general time table for the triathlons and running events:
6:00 a.m. - Course volunteers arrive - coffee, rolls, smile (parking helpers begin parking control)
6:30 a.m. - Transition area opens and packet pick up and body marking begins
7:30 a.m. - Course volunteers report to their specified positions (volunteers will be emailed their spot and a training meeting time)
8:00 a.m. - Race Start
11 a.m.-12 p.m. Race completed followed by Award Ceremony and door prizes.
The Mudman schedule could be up to a two day event that runs from 9am until 10pm each day depending on the number of participants. A more specific schedule will be available each year closer to the date of the event.
